About this program
The word “meditation” can, in fact, refer to a number of distinct types of exercises. In this experiential learning course, you will be introduced to a variety of meditative practices that originate from the world’s contemplative religious traditions, East and West, via ancient texts and guided meditations. At the same time, you will take a modern, scientific perspective on meditation and learn emerging theories on how these practices impact the human mind, brain, and body. No previous meditation experience necessary--only a desire to explore, experiment, and discover!
